    Default Favored Generals

This thread is for people who have ever had a favored general who they sent counquering.

Mine was A young infantry captin named Nero Varus. I had sent him and a few other units to attack the Egyption pharroh who had been wondering around. Every turn I attacked him at least twice and always won. Then eventually the pharroh had run out of body guards and only had 10. I attacked and won. Thats when Nero's adoption papers came up. I excepted and he went on to destroy the egyptions, armenia, and is on a campaign aganist Parthia.
Spartans do not ask how many but where they are.

hehe I like the term you used - adoption papers. Joking aside, my favorite general, and I have mentioned it before, was Antigonos the Conqueror. Not wanting to sound like a broken record I will post the link to my story here. It is on page 3 of the thread.

I haven't really played RTW since the successful life of my favorite general and his son ended. It just got kind of boring having all those settlements to micromanage. Also, having only the Julii and Brutii left, for the most part, really takes some of the diverseness out of the game. Fighting the same armies for what seems endless amounts of time (albeit red or green) becomes rather tedious. I might eventually instill a whoopin on the Brutii and Julii if I ever get back into it.
