I never had a PS1 so I wasn't sure when that was added in.

As for the timing of rumble being added to each console, I'm not sure. It made its debute on the N64 with Starfox ... and I know that rumble was present by the time FF8 came out, as it's the oldest game in my little PS1 collection which as rumble support. IIRC - bearing in mind I wasn't taking much notice of the PS1 at the time - they gained rumble fairly close to each other, at least in the UK. Sony may have been first; I wasn't paying them much attention back then as there wasn't anything I wanted on their console.

Now you mention it, I do remember seeing some complaining over the removal of the rumble feature.

A fair bit different, then. I wonder why it hasn't gained much attention in the bits and bobs I've read on the PS3? What I've seen has mostly concentrated on graphics and how powerful the console is, with a bit about blueray support. :cough: And a fair bit of grumbling about the lack of good games and nasty price :cough:
