Default How to edit descr_strat to get rid of default traits?

I'm working on Inca - Total War and making new traits and retinues, I have some done so I thought I would test them out. I went into descr_strat and deleted all of the traits and retinues of every character then switched the default trait and retinue files with my modded ones. I got a CTD right when the campaign loaded.

Am I supposed to delete the words "traits" and "acilliaries" as well when I delete the traits they have listed after those words? I think that may be the problem since it doesn't have those for characters that don't start with traits or retinue, but I don't want to do all that then find it doesn't work still, so is that the problem or is it something else?

traits are one of the main reasons for CTDs... make sure that you have put in the trait names correctly and also you probably do have to get rid of the 'traits' and 'ancillaries' thingy as well

Allright, thanks. If anyone else knows why this might happen, don't hesitate to answer!

    Trait GoodCommander
    Characters family
    AntiTraits BadCommander

    Level Confident_Commander
    Description Confident_Commander_desc
    EffectsDescription Confident_Commander_effects_desc
    GainMessage Confident_Commander_gain_desc
    Threshold 1

    Effect Command 1
taking that as an example, have you put in 'traits Confident_Commander 1' or 'traits GoodCommander' cos it's supposed to be the second

also are you getting any error messages when using -show_err?

Nevermind, I found the problem! I forgot to delete "gooddiplomat 3" from the selucid diplomat! It worked, thanks anyway.
