Sweboz - no units in Type 2 regions

I have started a Sweboz campaign and appear not to be able to recruit anyone outside my homeland provinces.

Other things I have noticed:
Merjoz: in their unit description it says they wield clubs, whereas the picture shows them holding a big axe.

I have built a temple (to Tiwaz?) in my Capital which give an experience bonus of 2. There is also a game field which gives an experience bonus of one. When I retrained some green troops from another settlement there, they gained 3 chevrons. Is this a bug or a feature?

Do the Sweboz get reforms? Their unit roster seems much less varied than I would have expected. The closest I get to elite units are the Sahnotaz(sp?) (swordsmen).

The retraining bit seems to be a leftover from Vanilla RTW, I've seen it there too...
