I doubt very much that President Bush has read the Baker report since it describes in detail exactly how impressive a muppet he has been.

Anyway, it's never good for the ego to be told off by your dad's mate.

UPDATE EDIT: Apparently, it's all the foreigners' faults. Outside forces, bad people. The same bad people that daddy's mate has told him he going to need to save his butt.

Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

(Watching these two reminds me not of the muppets but of Pinky and the Brain )

Bush has made it clear that he was only kidding when he kept saying before the election to wait for the Iraq Study Group report. Now he's waiting for the Pentagon study. And as I said in another thread, he'll keep changing the target study until he gets one he likes, which might be from Barney, his dog.

It appears the official vapid, pointless slogan has shifted from "stay the course" to "noble cause" thanks, in part, to the ISG.

Perhaps Bush missed his calling. He'd have made a prolific Madison Avenue advertising executive in charge of inventing dumb slogans. Look at all the stupid, pointless, misleading and just plain wrong slogans to which we've been treated over the years!

    "Compasionate conservative"

    "Uniter, not a divider"

    "Faith-based"

    "Axis of evil"

    "Evil evildoers"

    "Mission accomplished"

    "Coalition of the willing"

    "Stay the course"

    and now "Noble cause"

Bush is a walking, talking poster child warning against the dangers of an uninformed electorate.

Where are all the Bush supporters nowadays ?
Surely one of them must be able to find something , anything , from todays press conference that isn't complete tripe .

Anyhow on a wider scope Olmert has said that the report and its recomendations have nothing to do with Isreal , especially not the parts about wider regional stabilty .

Uh, maybe that it is indeed not the US and the UK that are doing the actual killing in Iraq? They made a strategical error by creating a power vacuum in Iraq and thereby subjecting it to sectarian violence and foreign incitement to violence. A costly mistake, born out of a lack of realism before the invasion, but the blame for the 600 000 thousand deads is not solely on them, far from it.

Other than that indeed it's mostly tripe and keeping up appearances against better judgement.

Speaking about lacking a sense of realism: dream on, Olmort.
