I'm not sure the death penalty is appropriate here, if she did it. No-one puts their own baby in a microwave for fun-she must have serious mental health problems.

I saw another article similar to this some time ago. It said that it was difficult to prove that the baby was killed in the microwave because of a lack of data regarding how human tissue reacts to microwaves of that intensity.

Well then I suggest that we test what happens to human tissue when subjected to high watt microwaves. Starting with this women as the first test subject.

I am against the death penalty in general. However, if it can be proven that this women did it, and she cannot be helped by therapy, then something must be done.

However, I admit I spoke in haste. Solitary confinement with constant therapy would probably be the better route to take. I should not have spoken as quickly as I did. I was sickened and angry, and should have rephrased part of my post.

horrible thing to happen though, it would be interesting to know of her mental state, or whether she realised how damaging microwaves could be to babies --> i mean theres no "do not place baby inside microwave" warning sticker

If it's postnatal depression - and very severe at that - then it is transient and it will end. When you offer 3rd world healthcare to the poor, what do you expect?

If it's more longstanding mental illness, then she needs to be sterilised until she's safe to look after another one.

If it was for a kick, then fry her.
