Tips for Siege?

Don't let your last rock be the killer one.

I had a seige this evening. My English against the Danes in a rather large city, Antwerp I think.

I only had 2 ballisters in my attacking army, I didn't notice that one of them was shooting at a different bit of wall to start with so I had to hustle one about so they could both shoot the same bit of wall. Anyway time passes and the bit of wall I'm going to breach reaches 99%, one unit has run out of ammo and the other unit launches it's final chunks of rock.

It is announced that it's a close defeat, the info screen pops up.

In the background, the final round deals the final blow to the walls and the walls are shown falling down.

Battle ends, and then the pope gives me a 4 year warning.

I was a little dissapointed, I had the perfect army lined up.....

If you want to keep your ram from getting torched, surround it with cheap/tall units to absorb the arrows.
