Actually you need 9 units. You can't simply put units in the four cardinal directions, or else the inquisitor will simply move out of the way diagonally:

_A_

You have to FULLY box in the inquisitor and THEN send in the 9th unit in the space where the inquisitor is. Boom, dead inquisitor:

AAA
AIA
AAA
