Thread: Asklepeion typo and Nomadism error

Default Asklepeion typo and Nomadism error

Two more from Parthia in 0.8:

Baktra in Bactria: the first sentence of the description text for the Asklepeion includes the following: "...son of Apollon nand Koronis..."

I'm going to have to insist that he's called Apollo in English. I realize that he's called Apollon in other European languages (French, for example), but the base language of this game is English. I hope that was just a typo.
The other typo in that sentence is that the n of Apollo got duplicated and added to the conjunction before Koronis ("nand").

On a more serious note, in 272 BC the town of Bin-kath near Bactria has a marker for "Nomadism - Error (Western Greek)" that includes the text "You shouln't be reading this. Reporting error."

Default Re: Asklepeion typo and Nomadism error

In our english text we use Greek spellings (nominative forms for english) whenever possible. We won't be changing Apollon back to Apollo. Proper names even in English get their original language variants in EB. Some factions aren't on the ball as much, but the greek ones generally are up to speed. The nand is certainly a typo though. For 0.82 we'll get it cleared up.

That nomadism error is something we were struggling with up till very very late in the development of 0.8. We are still working on it, but we are aware of the problem. It's actually very complicated, but we are still working on it.
