all point to a problem with France's money situation
Just ended a game using Lusted's mod
As England with money to spare
Gave my Ally France 10k for 40 turns
and several 1 time amounts of 100k
cant put my finger on the problem

Is it a problem with the mod or with the game itself?

France has a problem with making money let alone breaking even
I can be #1 with every other nation
The AI also has a problem with France and money
Even doing massive cheating France bleeds money
Decreasing the cost of buildings and French units
upping the Kings denari
increasing trade fleets and trade buildings to make more
France still is bleeding money
currently in a campaign as France
6 cities and 6 castles
turn 135 and in 12th place finacially and going down
cant put my finger on just what the problem with making money as France is
