Default Beautiful... I finally lost a siege battle and it was beautiful.

Most of my siege battles have been fought against the Milanese, and they are terrible. They always have a spy open the gates, which makes for a crappy passive AI battle.

Now I'm fighting the Danes in northern France, and they attacked the castle of Caen. Caen didn't have enough garrison and I kind of neglected reinforcing it. It had already lived through one close-call last time the Danes attacked.

So, I finally lost a siege battle. It was great. No passive AI, no annoying glitches. I was beaten by numbers through my own mistake of not sending more guys. The Danish trebuchets punched a couple holes in the wall, and landed a siege tower and some ladders on the walls, and simply broke through (at the breeches. I won on the walls but that ended up not mattering).

Backstabbing venetians arrived at Constantinople. It was incredible, no glitches. Amazing the way the battle progressed, shock and awe !

    1. They walk up with their ladders and towers, plus one ram.
    2. Archers cut up the ram, it burns down.
    3. They use the ladders and tower.
    4. I lose the wall with the ladders.
    5. I win against the towers. I use them to get outside the city (LOL!).
    6. I pull back the beaten troops from the other walls to the main square.
    7. They charge on towards the main square.
    8. My men from the other wall climb down the towers and come back in through the main gate BEHIND the enemy....

And yeah slaughter... but it was an amazing battle.

The enemy captain died on a wall I think I have a screenshot somewhere. So many awesome moments. The whole thing, cinematic to the extreme. Loved it.
