They're not supposed to happen until around 209-207 BC.
At the end of the day politics is just trash compared to the Gospel.
Yes but look in the FAQ, Dynamic reforms, i have the requirements and it says wait till 242, or i was told that anyways, because i was refered to another post.
you have to build the next level of MIC first.

what does MIC mean? lol sorry, im new to the lingo here![]()
actually i found out what MIC means, but what if they are all the highest level? lol
I'm having the exact same problem.
I have reached the dynamic trigger conditions, but nothing happens...![]()
I hope someone can bring some clarity on this![]()
Janius, AFAIK, the reforms dont happen automatically once conditions are met. Theres a certain chance they will happen each turn once those conditions are met, rather. Remember also you must have a general with a decently high influence to get the Reformator trait.
Masta your MICs are already at highest levels that early? egads..

yeah, i have lots of time, and lots of cash..... (200k+) mainly only because ive been waiting for the reforms before i made any big military actions outside of italy (even though im pushing deep into modern day france atm)
I got the reform around 240 BC, I think getting it to activate has a lot to do with beating up Carthage, as I have taken all of Italy on the south side of the alps including sicily and the other islands, the north west coast of greece, and all the territories from Massilia to the end of Iberia. I've got loads of money, at some point I was well over one million funds. Once you get it you'll have a polybian icon in your settlements and you'll get new options for barracks or have to rebuild the max barracks if you already have it. The next tier of units are basically the same, but they have higher armor instead of skill.

C'mon Zak, the players are already confused enough without getting bad info from members. The Polybian reforms have the requirements listed on the FAQ plus year > 242BC. If all conditions are met, they are gonna happen, no random chance. When they do, you'll get a Polybian Era building in your troop producing cities and will be able to upgrade your MICs. When you're done, you'll be able to recruit Polybian units.Originally Posted by Zaknafien
i was wondering if the dynamic reforms apply to the aedui with the neitos reforms?. also, if i destroy the romans before 242BC, which is pretty much a foregone conclusion, does this effect my ability to get the reforms?.
No, Celtic reforms are fixed for now. Check the FAQ for the dates.
Bozos, sorry.. but Ive always noticed it takes a few turns to kick in on my games, at least in the internal builds.
What about his situation where he already has the highest level MICs? does he have to destroy them and rebuild?
Oh by the way, speaking of reforms, ---found a bug yesterday, at game start there is a Camilian Era icon in Messana.

The building was there because we were told so. It will be moved to Segesta on .81.
Ok i have done everything the game asked me to do for the polybian reforms, yet nothing happens. I restarted the game twice and ran it though, and nothing. not even at 210 bc. what do i need to do????????
Did you activate the script properly?
How many provinces do you have under your control?
Do you have a huge city in Italy?
I have all the required territories and some, plus i have 2 Huge cities in italy
If all of your barracks are already maxed, you'll have to demolish them and re-build new ones. Just right click your existing barracks and click the "destroy" icon in the lower corner of the building description.
Easy and painless way to rebuild them all immediately:
Use cheats!
Press the tilde (~) key
type in
add_money seleucids, 40000 (this will add 40,000 mnai to the Roman treasury, as "seleucids" is the internal name for the EB Romani faction)
then rebuild all barracks in Italy by (in each city) typing
process_cq Cityname
ie: process_cq Roma (press enter) to auto complete the building in Rome.
And rebuild each barrack that way in each city back to where you had them.
Hopefully this made sense!
(assuming your barracks are already maxed out AND you have the "Polybian Reform" marker in your buildings, this may be your issue)

You did start the script right?

You know how whenever you start the game, that darned advisor pops up? No matter what your settings are? Don't ignore him.
Yeah, from the sound of it, you're going to have to restart the game - the script is very important for getting the full EB experience. It allows you to get reforms, but it also makes each year be 4 turns long rather than 2 and makes the game more challenging by giving money to the AI so that they won't be utter pushovers (don't worry, they still won't be too difficult). If you're at 242 and you still haven't activated the script, it's too late to do so and you should start the game over so that you can do it from the beginning. Here's how you activate the script: whenever you load a new game, click on a city (doesn't matter which one). The advisor will pop up saying something about activating the script. Click his face, and then click "show me how," just beneath his portrait. That will activate the script. -M

Technically, if he didn't activate the script, he can still salvage his campaign be editing the EB script to have the reforms at an earlier date..right?
Or activate the script and just realize that everything will come 30-40 years later than it would have?
