Thnx fallen. I wanted this too, since it's always too tempting to leadthe AI around the city and letting them be eaten up by the towers.

Indeed, but worse is when I'm holding units in reserve in the city, and then the AI takes my towers, and when I try to get my reserves to engage, they are at half strength... causing me to lose the battle...Originally Posted by Vorian

is the official eb game/build/team whatever going to disable this or atleast severely lower the rate or accuracy of fire?
I have a really bad feeling we won't be seeing 0.82 until next summer...
I wish the scope of 0.82 would be limited.

Im not sure I would like to see wall arrows go. It already bothers me that when I stick archers on walls, their ammo runs out - surely if you are defending a city, you would get people to bring you more ammo, after all the whole infrastructure is there, not like on a battlefield where you are limited by what you can carry. Arrows from towers sort of compensate for the fact that your archers run out of ammo, but they arent quite the same. Losing that small bonus would just weigh the battle in favour of the besiegers, and I dont think cities were that easy to break into by force. Starvation seems a much more plausible strategy, which is why I always starve cities into submission when I play.

Well if you want to look at the facts, EB has a long standing tradition of missing "intended" release dates.Originally Posted by Foot
In fact, I started a thread on just this topic only a short time ago, and it in you called me a "prat" and bunch other names, and then the thread was locked.
So my comment was indeed fact based, I'm using your past history to attempt to predict what will happen in the future. This is exactly what happens when people try to predict the stock market, the weather, football games, ect. And it is a far better system of prediction then that used by non-prats (I'am assuming you and the most of the EB team is non-prat since I am a prat and obviously your system has been a failure)
So why you continue to pick fights with me I don't know. I didn't think you cared enough about my opinion to post something like that. Obviously you do, or you wouldn't have posted that. So if you want to change my opinion, how about change the facts (see my first sentence about EB missing intended release dates)?
Or if you don't care about my opinion, despite the evidence, why not just not "stoop" down to my level and respond to my "insightful" comments if you are superior? Maybe because you are no better than me... But I'm just a prat...
And sure, you are welcome.
