    Default export_descr_unit

i can't seem to find the file anywhere. i did a search for it, but nothing came up and i looked in every location it would let me. can anyone tell me how to find it. i looked under properties and every folder in it, but there is nothing to be found of that file.

Did you run the unpacker, supplied with 1.1 patch?

Hmmm no reason it shouldnt work.

After you run the unpacker, its in the data folder.

    Download the patch.
    Install it.
    Run the unpacker.
    Do your changes.
Make a bat file as the rename.txt file instructs.
Run the bat file and not the exe one.

These steps will do the job.

You need to tell teh game to use the modified files.

How does one make a batch file and exactly what do I put in it other than the line the readme says to put in? Do I name the batch file medieval2? I'm largely ignorant when it comes to this confangled computer doohickey.

Other than what the readme says, put nothing in. You make it in Notepad, and then when it asks for a name when saving, name it "MyMod.bat" INCLUDE the bnat bit. that creates your .bat files. Now right click, create shortcut, and drag and drop that shortcut to your desktop.
