Default Saving Campaign Replays is possible

I think a lot of people know this already, but just for those that don't, you can save your campaign battle replays.

But...its bugged. Just like in multiplayer, the actual events of the battle aren't specifically recorded, just the commands given. So the replay will differ from the actual events. And when I just watched a replay, I wasn't able to exit the replay before it was finished.

Anyways, if you really want to save your replay, just go to your Medieval 2\temp folder. There should be a campaign_battle.rpy file there. Copy it over to the Medieval 2\replays folder. I recommend renaming it at that point to something more descriptive. You can actually do this while the game is running, you don't need to restart the game for the replay to show up. But, you can't be looking at the menu for the replays at that time.

It'd be nice if the replays were an exact copy of the battle, but they're not.

Hope some find it helpful. Oh and one more thing, that campaign_battle.rpy file is overwritten each time you have a battle, so you have to copy it over before your next battle if you want to save your most recent fight.

Thanks for the info. Any word on if they intend to make this feature serviceable ?
