Needing some info here

Hello all, I seem to have found my way to the total war series again. I played MTW for quite a while, but was dissappointed by RTW and played it only for a few weeks. Now since the medieval period is my favourite I decided to check out MTW2 and give Europa Universalis a bit of a rest.

So my question is, what should I know? In terms of bugs or things that work in a weird way e.g. very strong units, very weak units? How is the cavalry and archers in the game now?

And...

How do you enable all factions and disable the green highlight under the selected unit.

How do you enable all factions and disable the green highlight under the selected unit.

I think this line in medieval2.preference.cfg will get rid of the markers, just change the 0 to 1 :
disable_arrow_markers = 0
I didn't try it, in M2TW the selected unit its rather hard to spot when it gets mingled with other units so I play with markers on, although they're ugly.

I recommend downloading Lusted's "Lands to conquer" mod : it's simple to install , it unlocks all factions and most important it fixes some of the bugs and balance issues. Be sure to read the change list though, as the modifications go beyond fixing and balancing. (there's a thread about it in the mod chat)
