Click on the shortcut, the little 'Rome Total War' box flashes up, it get to the loading screen for Europa, then a little error message sound, and an enter or escape button later back on the desktop. And it just repeats, any ideas?

What version of RTW do you have? It should be v1.5 - assuming that's true, in which directory did you install EB? You should have an RTW directory that looks like this: <Name of your RTW directory>\EB. If the EB directory is missing or lower in the directory, you'll have a problem. The final thing you can do is to reinstall the game, being sure to pay close attention to where it is being installed. Good Luck!
