Default Whats your favourite battlefield animation

Ive just seen what has got to be the most funniest animation in game and its deffinatly my favourite now. I sent over what was left of a unit of English armoured swordsmen to attack a crew of catapulte men. As they were the last of the enemy i zoomed in all the way to see what happend and it was funny as hell. My armoured swordsmen ran over like they were dead hard and started to slaughter the catapulte men i zoomed right in on one catapulte men and this guy looked like he was panicking really badly you could see the fear in his face. Next thing he just ran up to one of my men right in front of him and kicks him in the nuts and my guy just ended up dropping to his knees in pain. I dont know what happend with the animation after that because i couldnt stop laughing but that was one hell of speacial move. Anyway has anyone else seen any cool speacial moves likes so i can keep my eye out for them ???.

Watching a basilisk fire into an enemy unit at point blank range is pretty cool.

Not a sign things are going well though.

I did not even know about this until I had five unhorsed knights fighting
against eight Saracen militia for Gaza. I zoomed in, and was blown away
by the action. My favorite was a knight who used his shield to bash down a
spearman, then moved in, pinned him to the ground with his sword, stepped
on his chest and pulled the sword out. Then he went into a cheer, because
the Saracens were wiped out. It was flawless!

I've seen the same thing when taking settlements. The enemy peasant archers kept killing off my spearmen, kick by kick. They sometimes punch people in the face too.

I like when Berdiche Axemen hit the enemy with the handle of their axe and than hit him while he's down! Fight without shame, fight without dignity!

My favourite battlefield animation is the one where my elite highly trained knight is unseated from his steed by another foolish charge that saw him come unstuck when he walked into the path of a mere peasant's elbow instead of running the pleb over and dragging the body around the battlefield until there was nothing left but a bloody pulp. I don't know why, but it's a poignant moment whenever it happens.

Really I haven't paid too much attention to the animations in the game so far, partly because the battles on my PC resemble some kind of scene from a ZX Spectrum computer game which makes me want to cry.

My favourite animation is when a halberd militia or janissary heavy infantry uses his halberd to stun the enemy then swipe him of his feet and deliver the coup de grace with a great big chop.

That makes a hell of a lot of sense though. If I was fighting a guy with no armour on that wanted to kill me...I'd kick him in the nuts every time.

I don't think it's considered dirty pool when the guy is trying to kill you.

Crying shame that man if you can crank up the graphics and set the game on huge battles it looks somthing like out of one of the lord of the rings films.

I am also intrigued by the detail of some of the animations. In one I saw Milanese crossbowmen with shields on their backs who would turn their shielded backs to the enemy arrows while they crouched down on the ground reloading.

I also like to watch the cannon reloading sequence. You get a better sense as to how long it takes to reload them. However, when you watch a catpult being reloaded, the stone suddenly appears in the cradle. Hmmm...

I would have to say my favourite unit in terms of animation are militia halberds. Against cavalry they will alternate between using the pointy bit, and taking massive overhead swings.against infantry they have a more comprehensive repetoir, one man used his halberd as a spear, feinting high, then on the third attempt went low and hooked his enemies foot, downing him, then he did a massive overhead swing and brought it crashing down into the unfortunate soldiers chest, not once, but twice. he went on to hook his halberd round a shield and spin him round, before impaling the unfortunate fellow on the pointy bit.

My favourite would have to be the Sword and Buckler Men action were he swings from top right to bottom left, then mid left to mid right which spins him around, stab thru the back then stab him into the ground. I hate the shield bash attempts though, never any damage with them.

The Forlorn Hope from the HRE have a "move" where the enemy ends up on his knees unable to defend himself....
Watching the gigantic swing and finally the two handed sword sweeping into the poor guys neck is always pleasurable.

    Seen it with Zweihanders aswell.
    There can be only one....

My Spear Militia fighting to conquer a city square.

One enemy left, surrounded, finally he fells to the ground.

One spear Militia whacks the fallen, not piercing him, just slamming with his long spear... Okay he's dead... and he throws himself on his knees, head and hands raised to the sky, in a classic soccer celebration of a goal scored in the World Championship Finale...

I almost expected all the others to melee him in joy, and the announcer to boom over the plaza: "Venice SCORES, 1-0, now let's hear some NOISE!". Camera flashes, replays and the whole thing
