    Smile Blocking ports with armies?

    I dont if what i am telling hasnt been posted but it happened to me today after playing mtw,rtw,m2tw.
    I accidentally send an army to a port tile and it blockaded the port!
    I havent tryed a second time and i dont know how this can help your faction in the campaign

    This was a feature in RTW/BI also, IIRC. Very handy if used in proper situations, AND keep in mind it can be used against you as well. I found that rebels tended to squat on my ports if they were near enough.

    This will also satisfy "blockade port" missions from the Council of Nobles, as I found out playing the Russians in the pirate and Dane-infested Baltic.

    THAT is a handy bit of info that I did not know, but it's logical. Stick that in the hints/FAQ thread!

    Did't know it. Could be very usefull. Thank you. I guess I'll be sending a lot of single HA to enemy teretory to blokade ports now.

    Yeah, it's a pretty nice feature. The thing is that usually the first thing that comes up when you want (or must) blockade a port is to use boats so the trade doesn't take place towards the port's settlement. Putting an army in the port would have the same effect logically (but more on land orientated which isn't exactly portrayed so trade ships could actually still arrive). I don't understand how some of you people wouldn't think of that :P

    So a nice feature would be if you block off a port with an army ships should still come in and you could steal their goods and make money some florins off it. They can't get to the town anyway, but they should at least arrive in the port.
