Default Why haven't they fixed this?

I just played an early GA game to the very end (1453). Starting in the
1300's, if the acumen of a governor got too high, the income in his province decreased. Also, when my ruler made Steward, the farm income in every one of my provinces decreased by 10%. Then my eight star/nine influence ruler's son showed up with zero command stars. From what I've read, these quirks were not intentional, so why don't they just patch them?

I guess there's no money in patching a game that's two generations old.

Not only that, but the first two publishers for Total War were never very good at supporting patches in the first place. Both EA (for Shogun & Mongol Invasion/Warlord Edition) and Activision (for MTW/VI & RTW) allocated money for exactly *one* patch for each game and expansion, but that was it. (In fact, I believe CA ended up patching the Viking Invasion expansion on their own dime; Activision flatly refused to fund a patch to fix the 56-year bug.)

It wasn't until Sega bought CA that we started seeing better post-release support. RTW/BI was the first--and so far, only--TW title to receive multiple patches. Those of us who play the earlier games kinda got the shaft in that department.

Martok is right. There are loads of unpatched issues in both STW/MI and MTW/VI, and as for Rome, well that's probably been one of the worst, though it has had alot more patching than STW and MTW had.

    Really.

Be sweet if they released the source code.
