    Default Marian Reforms

I noticed while reading through the desc_strat file that the marian_reforms trigger has been disabled... does this mean that if I were to enable it, the trigger would work?

If so, could it be used as a way to ensure that the more elite units like chivalric knights or lancers don't appear till later in the game (akin the having to wait for the Late period in MTW)?

Better to try and use the new Events triggers

I think old Marian reforms trigger was hard coded rubbish and probably wouldn't work now anyway?

I have no idea, I was just curious since a lot of things in RTW have been carried over in the text files and what not when creating MTW2, but I'm not sure which are functional and which aren't.

The big problem is with the hardcoded trigger - I believe it happens when any region with the italy hidden resource builds an imperial palace, the old "highest city level" in RTW. You'll note that such a building isn't present in M2TW, so who knows if it even works anymore.
