    Default Silly names.

Okay, sometimes you encounter people and when they tell their name you sometimes don't believe them, they seem to fit them to well or they have really strange names and stuff.

Now do you guys know any people like that?

I for example knew a kid who was called Remy, now you Enlish probably don't know but this a name that only men who are over 80 or so normally have.

I am one of those people. My mom decided to name me after my grand fathers. Maternal (first name) then Paternal (second name). Those names are Lawson and Reuel.

Personally I hate funny parents, those parents that think it's cool to give the kid a name that rhymes. Or parents who call their kid John Johnson or something.

Mind you it can be worse like the Dutch Pop Idol winner who named here child ... wait for it ... Beautifull, I mean come on, you don't do the kid a favour when she goes to school.

Where I used to work someone named their daughter Evie Poppy, which is just silly.

There was a program on the tele the other night about kids with eating disorders, anyway one of them was a boy called Tron.

I think it's sort of a new trend back to flower power days where parents called their kids silly things like 'Star' or 'Brooklyn'. They don't actually realise that kids will always be kids and are bound to pick up on it at school.

I met a guy once called August August. Now, why would anyone do that? A girl from Canada called Chritchley, as a first name. Don't know what got into the parents.

The half-sister of a friend of mine calls her kids after cars and motorcycles. She has Chevy, a Harley and a Cheyenne. You Anglo-Saxons may regard Harley and Cheyenne as (somewhat) normal but here in Belgian they are just child trauma's in the making.
