    Default Future Patches.....Movie Cam?

Anyone know if there are any plans to enable the Movie Cam feature for M2TW in any of the future patches? Or rather, is there anyway we can convince (Petition? ) CA to enable the Movie Cam in the future? I'm just itching to make some movies of my favorite custom and multiplayer battles.

I asked about that feature some time ago, both here and at the .com. Both threads went unanswered. If it's going to be in the patch, I've seen no mention of it anywhere, but we can always hope. I too had been looking forward to putting myself in my own little director's chair.

People have been asking for this since the debut of RTW. My guess is that something about the change from sprites in MTW to the 3D units in RTW and M2TW busted the ability to faithfully record the battlefield action. It's either something they don't want to spend the time and money to fix , or (more likely) they just plain don't know how .

CA did enable the movie cam in RTW in one of their patches (1.2?). So it was in RTW and we did use it. I just wonder if they will enable it for us to use in M2TW as well. If you look at the official CA M2TW trailers, they're made with the movie cam.

The movie cam is different than the replays. You use the movie cam to basically render movies from your replays.

All I need is to be able to go down to the GROUND level i.e to the feet of the soldiers, AND to be able to view the field satelitte style. Nothing more.
If you remember me from M:TW days add me on Steam, do mention your org name.

would be ace if it reappeared.

i'd love to see reconstructed historical battles from the real TW vets hosted online.

IIRC, though, wasn't the action in the movie different than what you had actually played out during the battle? Like the 'camera' had recorded a sort of battle template which the ai tried to follow when you played it. That's where I was going with the 'faithfully record' bit.
