A request to EB team: I’d like to be in your squad

'Hello everybody! I have a request to EB team. I’m writing on public forum, so that all of the members of this team could read my message. I’m a modder from Poland. I worked in teams: RoP, RTR. I’m currently working in Ancient Wars team (on BI 1.6) and Ortus Romani (on MTW 2). Apart from moddering, I know the military history very well. From antiquity, a like greek classic period and diadochs’ armies most. I have over year experience with making textures and units’ models for RTW. My request is: can I join your EB team? I would like to handle hellenistic’ units. I will present my units now, that I could give to EB.

It’s a warrior, who would be Macedonian hypaspist. Here you have some sources which accept my speculations: Osprey (Angus McBride’s ilustrations)

The helmet is blue, because when it was found, there were some blue spots on it. I wish that EB members won’t deny the authenticity of blue phyrgian helmets.
Remember that you have made the same helmets in EB 0.8. Here you have it – a parthian cataphract:
The shape of the helmet is correct. Here is a photo of my version of the helmet with wings:
An armour, a sword and leg-covers are also correct. You are using the same type of armour. I’ve given a different shield symbol than you have in EB. In EB 0.8 I’ve found 6 Macedonian shields with their famous sun. I’ve decided to give a head of the man, to various them. This face could be Philips’ king of Macedonia, or be one of the greek gods. And here’s the second version of the hypaspist:

He has a torso armour. His helmet is un-painted. I think that both of the units are almost the same as in your mod.
I’ve given them a phyrgian helmet, because in EB there aren’t many helmets this type. In the III age BC it was very popular. In EB 0.8 cheaper, worse-armored units have it. These elite, which are expensive, have a thracian helmet. In my opinion, it have to be completely inversely, because the phyrgian helmet was more expensiv than the thracian one was. It’s bigger, so to make it you must have a lot of material. So I wish that cheaper phalanx units will have a thracian helmet, and these more elite (hypaspists, agema, argrysaspides) will have the phyrgian one. I could handle it. I’ll do it very detalied.

Thanks for the post KLA. We'll get in touch in a day or two (some folks are on holiday) and let you know what's next. For virtually all membership requests there is a trial period where folks work on a few descriptions or a couple of units or whatever before they actually join the team though - just need to let you know that. Very very rarely is that ignored (but a professional 3D designer and 2D artist with their own design company who wants to join to help make more battlemap buildings for the mod would probably be let right in ). But really, I'm more of an overactive poster than anything else - I'll let the Unit Graphics people handle this sort of stuff like they're supposed to.
