I just noticed that the Pezhetairoi only have one greave on one leg rather than one on both.

Because like Roman Camillan and Polybian troops they only used one in their shield side.

A minor thing though, the description talks about it being on the right leg, while it actually is on the left (according to the pic and your explanation)
