Post HOF nominations extended til Christmas day

The following announcement was just made today:

So if you've been meaning to put someone forward for an award but haven't gotten around to it yet (and I'm certainly guilty of that, if no one else is ), now's the time to do so!

With particular regards to the Main Hall, I've noticed there's only been a couple nominations so far for "Best Account of a Battle or Campaign". I know we have plenty of AAR's in the Pics & History of your Empire thread, and elsewhere besides. I know that linking to a particular campaign is often difficult, however, since members' posts about their campaigns are separated by those of the other members.

Given that fact, if you want to nominate someone for a particular battle/campaign story, you needn't worry about linking to every single post of their campaign (although you can certainly can if you wish)--simply linking to one or two of his/her posts that you found especially entertaining/amusing should be sufficient. (The alternative is go through the Pics & History thread and try to find every single relavent post....which could be enough to put all of us here into straightjackets, and that just won't do. )

Another point I wanted to bring up is that given how the endgame's "mop-up" phase tends to drag on, I suspect the majority of us MTW players (including your humble assistant moderator ) only rarely finish campaigns--even just achieving the "minor" victory can be tedious. So with that in mind, don't feel you have to disqualify someone's campaign story simply because they didn't finish it. (Although I do believe that finished campaigns are always a plus; the author should get a gold star for all their efforts. )
