Hello all,
I was playing as Arche Selukia and I conquered Salamis which had a factional MIC (of the Ptolmies) already there. Without installing any government I could already recruit a large amount of troops. Is this a bug or not?
Thanks

Intentional. Check out the STRATEGY section of the MIC in question. Ptolemies and Seleukids share the same factional MIC.
Was the MIC damaged when you captured it? Did you have to repair it first? If not, THAT's a bug. There should be at least one turn of repair before you can do this.
I am playing as the Casse. And if i understand this right they are using the same factional mics as the aedui and arverni. So if i conquer one of their cities then their MIC should be damaged is that right?
If this is true than it is a bug for the casse. i have conquered quite a lot of Gaul i never had to repair a factional MIC.
I have second question. i am always able to build troops in these MICs even if i havent established a government not even this 1 Turn Victors Justice thing. The other Governments dont show up unitl i have Victors justice but i am still able to build units no matter if i have a government in that province or not.
This was a known to be a problem in 0.74 and AFAIK EB members said dont build units until you have a government in place or you are exploiting the game. Is it still the same in 0.8?
Can someone please respond. Is it true that Mics should get damaged once you take a settlement?
This has never happend in my campaign.
It's something we talked about scripting, but I'm not sure the script was ever written. I've never seen it happen in v.80, so it's safe to say the script isn't present.Originally Posted by galathas

I also just noticed that I could not train Henellic Native Phalanx (can't spell the Greek) in Salamis when I captured it. I could only train what the previous owners had been able to train excluding units which I could not train anyway. I had to install a provisional government before I could train them. I also have noticed that in some more outlying Seleucid cities I cannot train them either.
