    Default Do you help out at home?

    what kind of stuff do you do at home, like cleaning and stuff.

    Beirut is a real killer and he let's me do all the chores and stuff...

    Was somebody in search for "the new man"? Well, here I am!

    I must admit though, my wife does all of that too + she cooks D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S-L-Y. That's why I don't do the cookery at home, allthough I'm able to if necessary.

    Well, I do everything there is to be done in the house. Likewise my girlfriend does everything as well. Although I'm convinced I do more she doesn't think so. Ahh, domestic bliss.

    Well my own room is nice and clean
    The showers and kitchens get cleaned
    But the main sitting room is just disgusting, not really inviting to be

    Chez moi... well, today, I have so far done the dishes, washed two bathrooms (sinks, toilets, bathtubs, floors), and I have still to vacuum, do at least one load of laundry, tidy the living room, and maybe, just maybe, wash the kitchen floor.

    I also made four breakfasts, two lunches, put all the garbage out for the pickup, and walked the kids to the school bus.

    All this, and I still have time to look good.

    In my bedroom a hurricane has passed and my bedroom is a diseaster.
    Because I'm always here, im always helping.all the days im cleaning my bedroom without a good result(My bedroom will always be a diseaster) .

    Anything involving the Kitchen is off limits to me. But yeah... I pretty much take care of everything else.

    I like sorting through my Fiancee's unmentionables. Just don't tell her I also sort through her unmentionables even if they haven't been through the washing machine yet.

    And the only thing I like doing to help, cooking, well that they don't want me to help with. They say my cooking is not healthy. Pfft pie, cake, waffles, pancakes, tiramissu is healthy, I tell you!

    I arrive home and sit in my comfortable chair, to have my pipe and slippers fitted promptly. My dinner is then served while I peruse the evening news.

    In reality, I do all of the cooking, which I enjoy, and will be cooking the christmas dinner also. My wife washes the dishes though so it's not all bad.

    You live in the Selwerd appartments?

    I live with 2 roommates, all household chores are divided equally. When we share diner one is responsible for the cooking, the others for washing the dishes.

    When I'm visiting my parents I usually help out by dishwashing or cleaning the kitchen.

    No Hoendiep m8, Selwerd is worse they say ... looking for something with less then 26 person on one floor tho

    And the Selwerd flats are indeed terrible.

    I cook, she cleans, generally. She helps with the bigger cooking projects, and I help with the bigger cleaning projects. We both do yard work - her with the power tools (mower, etc), I with the hand tools (trimming, digging).

    I'm of Italian descent on my father's side, so the night before my wedding, my father passed on to me "the wife belt". I had always wondered why my mother, who is a spitfire personality-wise, devoted herself so slavishly to completing all domestic tasks. Now I know.....

    All kidding aside, LIKE my father, I actually do help a LOT at home. If anything, I drive my wife nuts, because when I get stressed out or angry, out comes the vaccuum cleaner or something else (housework is a great stress reliever). I do any actually cooking, my wife does the heating up of prepared foods. Though she is quite the baker.... Whomever doesn't cook does the dishes.

    I would say that in general, I do more than my wife does, especially in the summer when there's yardwork in play. But I would also be the first to admit that when it comes to Jillian, my wife is way out ahead of me, mainly because she doesn't wait for me to figure out Jillian needs a diaper change or a fresh bottle: she either does it or she (occassionally) sends me to do it.

    Since all other housework can be scheduled for normal waking hours, but Jillian is 24-7, I think I'd have to give the edge to the wife. She only wakes me when she really needs help, otherwise I get to sleep through 2AM feedings (because I have to get up to go to work).

    I can't say I 'help out' voluntarily, but if I'm asked to do something I'll usually do it.
