Small Makedonian Recruitment Guide

Holy ****! I had no idea this list existed!

Edit: I have the urge to contribute, so I'll give you some pretty colours accompanying my Macedonian army:

Weird to think that although it's a phalanx based army, it only has five phalangite units. Peltasts, Agrianians and the Pheraspidai make up for the flanking infantry, while the Hetairoi and the general flank from the high right and the Thessalians from the high left. The Promodroi and the Thracian cavalry chace skirmishers away from the main cavalry routes.

I like to think of it as pretty authentic.

I must say this guide is phenomenal. It will sure save me some headaches.

Thaatu: My Macedonian army is eerily similar to yours. I think I just have one less cavalry unit and replacing that is another phalangite unit. Most likely Argyraspidai. And the Cretan Archers would be replaced with Agrianian Assault Infantry since I just love those guys

Thank you very much, Liberator, for updating my list to the v2 version, intended to do it myself, but RL has been a bitch and i simply had no time. Well, to be honest, i had some time on my hands but i thought i´d better spend it on actually playing EB than writing a guide for it.

Are you sure the pezhetairoi can be recruited in Ambrakia? o.O I remember the last time I tried in 0.81 I couldn't...

EDIT: I've just confirmed one more time on 0.81a that you can't get pezhetairoi in Ambrakia.

@Liberator - How did you determine where Pezhetairoi can be recruited?

I've been relying on the recruitment area maps in the Unit card project thread and the one for the Greek units indicates that Pezhetairoi can only be recruited in Pella and Demetrias.

I am using Pella and Demetrias as my recruitment centres so I can confirm that Pezhetairoi can be recruited in both.

I haven't upgrade the MICs in any other areas yet because I didn't think that I could recruit Pezhetairoi anywhere else based on that recruitment map.

I'm waiting for the reformed pike units to be available, which the recruitment map says can be recruited in many more areas, before upgrading.

Would you please confirm whether the Pezhetairoi info is correct.
