I change the Descr_Strat file but it won't save the altered file am I supposed to save it in a special way?

Well, wizards do tend to be a bunch of guys walking around wearing dresses. That's enough to frighten me right there.

When it gives you the error not allowing you to save in the save dialog window, right click the existing descr_strat.txt file in that same window, - click Properties, untick Read Only, click Apply, click OK, try to save again.

Quick question. How do you get to the file? If it is in another thread could you post the thread?

I am at work so I am doing this by memory........

Look in your main M2TW folder.....

    then "data" folder.....
    then "world" folder".....
    then "campaign"
    then "imperial campaign"

It should be there.....again ,I am at work and doing this by memory. If no one else posts, I will post the exact location when I get home.

You got it right, it is a read only file which is why you had trouble saving the changes. You can alter this in the file properties, but it is a better route to rename the orginal (cahnge the .txt extension to .old or .bak or something and then create a copy to work on (with the .txt extension) that way if you have an "accident" you can always recover without reinstalling...
