Default Has the EB modding team ever considered...

Have you guys ever considered forming together in order to start an unofficial modding project to a different game?

    Such as "Mount & Blade"...

I think if you guys wanted to make some extra cash on the side, or if you just wanted to bring a good Ancient European mod into the mix over there it would be cool as hell. If any have played this game, then perhaps you'd know how many mods are being worked on, and how much potential it has in being an extremely rewarding game. There are two or three Ancient Roman mods, the most prevalent being the "Rome Total War Mod".

I tried it and it has some basic details, such as the Gallic and Roman factions. The Romans are quite detailed, but the Gauls are as pathetic as Vanilla RTW. Maybe the team could gain the rights from the mod creator to continue his work (since he will be "too busy" for quite a long time).

Here's what my character, Belenos, looks like from the RTW mod...

What the heck is it? I went to the website, but I couldn't find a coherent explanation.

What do you mean? Look at the first link, "Tale Worlds...". It's a 1st or 3rd person action/adventure game where you fight in battles whilst leading men. There is mounted combat as well, hence the name of the game. As Fleeb said, it friggen rocks. Try out the free trial version http://taleworlds.com/mb_download.html and I'm positive you'll buy the full game after trying it. It's extremely cheap for such a versatile and fun game.

Who thinks the EB team should do a mod on it though? I'd pay good money to get my hands on that mod.

It's a really fun game, but I don't think the engine is well suited to classical era combat.

Nice idea, but the chances of this happening are about a billion to one.

Well, certain modders have already introduced formations into the game, so that it's less chaotic in battle. I think the engine is pretty good actually, but it will never reach hundreds of combatants, though I'm ok with that. I think quality of fighting is better than quantity, in a game like M&B. Leave the epic battles to RTW, and the individual deeds of warriors to M&B.

Maybe leave out the Romans and other Imperial cultures, and make it a Northern and Eastern European mod, so that it can be of a more tribal warfare type nature?
