    Default Post Patch Cohesion: worse than before?

    Is it just my dumb lack of luck or anyone else here thinks that post-patch unit cohesion is worse than before? Almost every other attack by my infantry ends with the front line charging/attacking and the rest of the unit reforming wayyy behind... I have had several cases when cavalry unit just "explodes" in all directions after being given "run to a point" command...

    While I do see what you see, I don't think it is particularly any different or more frequent than before...

    I don't think the exploding things is worse. I mean I still see it in my cavalry units chasing a few routing troops, but prior to the patch then could at worst scatter across the whole map, now it does not seem quite as bad...

    So, I guess, it is my bad luck. By the way, when I spoke about cavalry "exploding" i meant a cavalry unit not chasing routers, just a simple "run to a point" command given to a unit that before the command was in good formation. I have never seen this before the patch.

    Just had a small battle a bit ago
    had 2 units of norman dismounted knights charge
    both whole units engaged I was like whoa
    while that was happening
    a unit of mounted norman knights charged from the side
    they were spread out from here to kingdom come

    flat land with no obstacles or rocks

    Cavalry have low cohesion as a default setting in the unit file, except when they do a formed charge. They will scatter more than infantry. Infantry don't seem so bad after the patch. Part of the reason for the cohesion bug in the first place was that they wanted the units to intermingle a bit more than in RTW where they remained rather static, so I'd say it's as much a feature as a bug.

    if they intermingled we'd be golden
    Id say since its not working as intended it would probably be classified as BUG

    I certainly think it is worse than before the patch, especially cav.

    Worse; although it's intended to have large melees of intermingling troops, this is annoying and not working as intended. I'd rather have lines of troops like in MTW or RTW fighting along lines than intermingling melees if they worked better!

    It seems better now. My rout chasing cav will only scatter across 1/16 of the map rather than 1/4.

    Yes, but now they do it every time instead of only occasionally.
