Default M2TW works very nicely on an Intel MacBook Pro

I really didn't think that M2TW would run at all well on my MacBook Pro (1.83 Core Duo) as the video card is only a Radeon X1600 with 128 MB.

However, a PM from Gorm informed me that he had installed it on his iMac successfully, and this emboldened me to try it out - hoping not to waste my euros.

Well, I can report that it runs extremely well and looks fantastic. I have a lot of RAM (1.5GB) so maybe that helps, but the battles run with all the effects like grass and suchlike. I have not yet tried it with anything but the default unit size, so I suspect that's where I won't get much further, but who cares - it looks great as it is. I'll add more information as I tweak.

    I'm a happy Mac bunny!

Now I've got to figure out how to get past that wretched restriction on factions at the start...

Thanks for Gorm for his inspiration.

Well, good to hear it's all working out for you Banquo

    To answer the quoted:

Open medieval2.preference.cfg [in your MTW folder} and add this:
    Code:

    [misc] unlock_campaign = true
    Or

OR edit the descr_strat.txt file. Delete lines number 10 and 11, ie:

    Code:

    end unlockable
Or simply destroy a faction on the campaign map to make it playable, this doesn't count for all factions though - better just edit the preference.cfg file.

I'm an athiest. I get offended everytime I see a cold, empty room. - MRD
