Thread: Events After Victory
IPoseTheQuestionYouReturnTheAnswer 07:45 20/12/06
So, I have to ask, mostly because I've been wondering. I have 44 cities conquered, and have been that way for a hundred turns now. I'm waiting to discover America, ha.

If I go out and conquer a 45th city, that will make me win the campaign. If I do win the campaign and choose to continue, will events still develop normally? i.e., if I continue after victory, will the world is round event still happen and let me go play with the Aztecs?

I don't know about post patch but before you just got the one video. If you choose to play on...it seems to just go on until you decide to start a new campaign. You can play until 1954 if you choose....

I secured my 45th region as the Scots in my first long campaign pre-patch and chose to continue - and yes, the new world can still be conquered.

Post-Patch I finished Portugal after claiming victory, I haven't played past this yet, but I'm pretty sure that the same triggers still apply.
I'd rather start a new campaign though because I'm hoping to be for once able to develop my empire before going on a massive war... in all TW games I've never gotten to the really good units simply because I was forced to conquer my neighbours or they just wouldn't let me be. Which meant that the border regions kept churning out the troops....

Anyway, I'm distracting from the original question, so nevermind ;-)

Ah, thanks. So does anyone know for sure if it still works post-patch?
