    Post Questions from new member

Greetings, I've just managed to log-in here after receiving the activation mail hours since I registered. Nevertheless, The Guild board looks charming with variety of themes Now, let's move on to my questions!

I'm planning to buy Medieval 2 next week and I've tried the demo several times (the one that included tutorial, Battle of Pavia, and Agincourt) and it seems very promising. I like the combat system, design, graphic, voices, and the list goes on. However I notice that in the demo, before I start either the Battle of Pavia and Agincourt, no matter what 'Advice Level' I chose, I didn't get any advice at all. Is the advisor supposed to be the man who's tutoring us in the tutorial map? How do I activate this "advice"? I would like to see some in-game advise in the demo, simply to know how it works. Other than that, the demo itself is excellent

In game there is a battle map advisor and a campain map advisor.

The battle map advisor is a guy in the top right corner who depending on the set level gives advice such as how to use fire arrows, how to control your troops, and how move, form up etc. I believe the demo had a tutorial where he says everything that is needed.

In the campain map there is a women who will give yuo intructins on diplomacy managing settlements religion so on and so fourth. But you actually have to be in campain to access her.

Any way if you have advice set on high when you click on buttons the advisor will pop up and say stuff to you. For example try clicking the fire at will button on a unit of archers and he will instruct you how to use it. If he isnt poping up then i would just suggest reinstalling the demo.

Question Re: Questions from new member

It seems reinstalling the demo doesn't improve anything, any other suggestions?

Hello, and welcome to the Org, Tran

I am not sure (as my computer is not powerful enough to play either the demo nor the actual game), but perhaps advise is not included in the demo? You may also get more responses from M2TW veterans if you post your question here, in the mighty Citadel.

    Merry Christmas.

From the perspective of a Citadel poster, you're better off not posting in the demo thread but starting one of your own, as people will ignore threads that they deem to be too old.

The advice popups are extrememly annoying, and you don't learn much that you can't just read in the manual.

If advice isn't working just use trial and error. You may learn quicker that way as those people in top corner always seem to give me bad advice.I'm going to sack the lot of them.
