    Default Help Setting Stakes

OK, if this is a stupid question, feel free to make fun of me:
How do I get longbowmen to set stakes? The only options I have are flaming arrows and regular arrows. I know, I've tried. I assume I'm missing something really obvious here.

Stakes can only be set during deployment. So you have to do it when you are setting up your army. It will be their special ability during deployment. It switches to flaming arrows when you deploy though.

That also means if you move you leave your stakes beind so make sure you only put them where you want to stay.

THere are some rules to using Stakes since some people don't know them.

    1. Stakes must be deployed during the Deployment Phase.
    2. Stakes cannot be placed on obstacles or hard surfaces like roads. You have to place stakes on soft ground. At least from what I have seen, I couldn't place stakes during a bridge battle since it was a road so I had to place it next to it.
    3. Cavalry running through will be instantly killed.
    4. Usually infantry running through will be slowed down.
    5. Cavalry can bypass stakes by walking through them.

    Hope this helps out.

BTW I just picked this up when playing as the English and in the battles against the Mongols.
