Hi
I'm thinking about starting an multi player campaign, with using the method that have been talked about in this forum.
I would like to know whom would like to join such a project, because there will most likely be found more errors in the campaign while playing

so what do you say??

No no no we are not the same.
The differeces between my, and all of the other treads, is that they are explaining how it works, and how long the so-called project is going.
Mean while I am in fact trying to start an multiplayer campaign.
So as you can see there is a difference

Write an AAR with 1 character per turn ;) see how far that gets.

i guess this map is being update and the game is running , any chance we
organize a game like they did ? it would be great :D.

Yep, the map is update when we finish a turn. We played 14 turns for the moment.

who runs it ?
does it go smooth ?
and when did you start the game ?

i think in order to run a smooth game there should be time limit per turn.
that means one man will be coordinator as you already have that when
you finish a turn you send him the save and to the next guy.
and if the next guy don't play his turn in a 24 hours his turn will be skipped :D.
that way people will be careful and wont stretch time, also if a player cant play
in a certain day he should say it to the coordinator in advance.

this essentially the idea me and juliussharp had...create an online campaign for all the tw games....we had it first!!

we are already decoding the campaign map of rtw for online campaign

we are decoding the map so you can place it on a server, but we are also implementing some of civilization 4s map into it to add a more realistic terrain feel

sounds good with the server thing , can you give more detail like in what stage are you ( beginning , middle, start) and who all this should work online ?
also are you using myddral hot seat mod ? or you have different type of mp.
and what do you mean implanting civ 4 maps ? that doesn't sound good i did liked civ 4 but i but dont think a mix would be good :D

Ergion runs the campaign, and for the moment very well. We started at 2 january. The turn need 2 days to be finished. But when the time advance, some factions dissapear and we play the turn more quicly because there are less players. If any player dont play his turn in 6 hours since 10am, Ergion play in substitution. Remember that we dont play online battles, are resolved by computer.

well too bad for me i don't speak Spanish :D.
well finally i see some movement on the map.

so battles are currently played only against rebels and the rest is auto solved.
in case that dev wont fix this problem in next patch, did anyone tried to figure out the files and see if you can pull info out so you could play the battles online?

besides this , is there a system to keep cheats away , i hope that people are honest , it will ruin a game is some one cheats :(

i have emailed Ergion to see if he could help me to organize a second game like this one, with a updating page and so on ... i think the more games there will be
the more popular it will become and more players will join , i know its not perfect
yet but its cool enough ... so i hope a new one will be start soon with players from this forum :)
by the way , can you send me a save of the game ?
