removing the little green arrows under the feet of my selected units
i could do this in rtw, was in preferences, now when i open my preferences file its empty except my name and email adress, what gives?![]()
any help with that would be appreciated

its medieval2.prefences in the main directory

yes there is nothing in that folder but my name and email adress, for what reason i dont know![]()

In the general total war folder, ie:
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War
In there is a file called medieval2.preference.cfg Right-click on it and select Open With, and use Notepad.
edit this line, in the [GAME] section to get rid of the green arrows:
disable_arrow_markers = 0 [change the 0 to a 1]
And if you want to get rid of the banners, edit this line, in the [VIDEO] section:
show_banners = 1 [change the 1 to a 0]
Im personally trying to mod to retain the banners, but prevent the bobbing when selected, which i find highly irritating visually. But XML is NOT my friend :(
