How do you get one of the lasses to propose marrige to somone from your own faction?

Everyone i've heard says it can't be done outside random chance.

How do you get one of the lasses to propose marrige to somone from your own faction?

Everyone i've heard says it can't be done outside random chance.

You have to use a princess.

Have her selected, then mouseover the unit stack with the general you wish to propose to. It'll say "Potential suitors are in this army" or something to that effect. Right-click, choose your lucky general and away you (or rather they) go.

Tried that myself and it wouldn't work. It just moved her into the army.

Maybe too closely related? Or was the general already married. Or just one of those unknown reasons that I am not a programmer to understand.

Check for the mouseover message first. You'll need the "Potential suitors" to show up, otherwise, what Von Nanega said is probably true.
