You went the whole game without taking Arguin or Timbuktu? I feel sorry for you. :P

Seriously though, the gold offered by each of those is enough to be worth a half garrison of feudal knights on normal size.

Something about Scottish warriors in kilts running around in Russia strikes me as odd. :)

hehe I asked the pope for a crusade against a rebel city near Russia because I wanted to expand my empire because at the point the crusade was called I only had half of the British Isles and half of France.

Crusades always land troops in some far flung place. Heck, I had Cairo before I knew it as the English, and I didn't even call the darn thing.

Here's some screens of one of my empires, The Holy Roman Empire.

An Army stack usually consists of 1 unit of late General's Bodyguard, 4 units of Teutonic Knights, 3 units of Pavise Crossbowmen, 6 units of Dismounted Fuedel Knights, 3 units of Mounted Crossbowmen, and 2 units of Basilisk. They usually do the job just right.

Never had problems with Mongols playing as Spain.
They did take out Russia and Poland but when I reached that area during a crusade they werent able to fight me off...
While I was taking city after city from them suddenly the Timurs arrived and most Mongols armys were crushed between us...

As you can see in the picture I managed to win over the Timurs combined Stacks and now they are all seperated and will be destroyed one by one :D

    Not too bad...

Prehaps I could improve my finances by asking the Clergy to hold of the Newcastle brown and plastic knockers for a turn or two...

thats not really conquering all the regions, :P Between me and the Papal States whom I am allied with, I own the entire old world in M2TW, I am in combat with the Timurids and still upgrading all my cities hence a low bank balance. Here is a Picture of the Grand Scottish Empire!

The World according to the Portugeese empire just after the great mortality is over.

As you can see the world is becomming to be held in the few stronger peoples, the byzantine empire has been all but destroyed, france, egypt and spain gone forever, the Mongols controling all of the middle east and into greece, Russia though not much is known about them seems to span across the steppes. The Portu-Milan Wars have been bloody for each side, over 4 Portugeese generals have befallen to milaneese hands, either by assassain or a catapult (>.>). The Empire does not have her great kings as was when we were fighting the Re-conquista and has befallen to liars and Tyrants. Several cities have been named though in honor of the Great Generals of the Re-Conquista, Cita de Jo'hão for expample, A mighty Citadel near the border were almost every general to have fought for the Empire has been, and were they are buried, Djion, Aquired in a recent ceasefire agreement, though few suspect that the ceasefire will last and the first army hurridly rebuilds her forces.
