Thread: System Registry

    Default System Registry

Basically, I copied my friend's installation of Medieval 2 Total War because the CD I got was a DVD-rom and I don't have a DVD-player on my computer.

I'm trying to install patch 1.1 but it's not detecting my MTW2 because, most probably, there's no system registry entry for it.

Can anyone help me out here? Is there any way in which I can manually apply the patch?

    Thanks in advance.

Buy a basic DVD ROM drive and save yourself alot of hassle. They only cost about £15 here in the UK. The copy is probably not working as a legitimate copy. The game will know this and the disc won't work properly or be recognised as the real disc etc etc. You won't get the patch to work either until you have game installed properly.

-Edit: I'm pretty sure threads shouldn't be appearing in here either.

Get your friend to make an .iso of your disc and then mount it with daemon tools. You will probably need a no DVD hack.
