Thread: Difficulty

    Default Difficulty

I played RomeTW a lot and the difficulty i like best was 'veryhard' and 'hard' for battles. cos i'm new to M2TW I'm using 'hard' diificulty and 'medium' for battles, but i'm finding battles too easy in the first 50 turns or so (this might be because i'm playing venice who have some good early units)...what is the best difficulty levels for someone like me?

    Thanks

A lot of people around here (me included) play on vh/vh, and while this makes things more difficult it lives up the the name 'total war', as diplomacy is almost impossible.

If you're more into a laid-back game then go medium for the campaign

I always play on vh/vh, which if you take your time makes it pretty challenging. I am almost always having at least one fight per turn, if not more. I'm at war with every faction, and enjoying every moment of it. I'm playing as the HRE by the way.

Thanks. I want to make the game as challenging as possible but i really enjoy the diplomacy side and wouldnt like to just fight battles every turn...Maybe hard for both settings would be best...
