I can't even picture what happened here (post a screenshot).

Personally, I just use Winamp to make save a playlist.

There are other more complicated organizers out there like (mediamonkey): http://www.mediamonkey.com/

Other than that, all I can say is run CCleaner and tick the "custom files and folders" and see if it clears/resets the settings.

Now that the exams is done I can come back and try to fix this.

Notice the music choises in the upper part of the left menu and the music note on the lower left. In most folders you can change this, but not in the folders I mentioned in the first post, as you evidently can see here.

Here's an example of how most folder's options look like and here's also the displaying mode that freaked out and either directly or indirectly caused the still remaining issue.
Displayed as this, every folder and file (tested a bit) wouldn't diplay the name, no matter what, in that particular folder.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?
