Strange things happening...

I just played a strange game. I just went berserk and used autobattle for any battle there were. I killed everyone who was on my way. The strange thing was that no other faction actually dared to attack me. They were always asking for peace even with some money gifts! Some of them wanted even alliances and of course backuped their demands with gifts. I took their money and didn't care about peace. I was able to even kill pope on the way and no other faction didn't care about that one either. They just kept asking for peace.

So... Is this the way how you should play this game? Is this the way they tested this game. Diplomacy worked perfectly. They feared me, didn't attack me and tried to ally with me all the time. Some allies even assisted me!(Or they were just on the way to capture city, which I was assaulting.) As we all know when we play nice this won't happen.

Well what would you do if an enemy nation just destroyed your neighboring nation like it was a speed bump and started knocking on your door? Unless you could match their power and had a little "backbone" then you stand up to them but in the early game most factions don't.

To be honest, this seems odd to me, but I don't think it is a problem, as I never rush, so I don' experience something like this. I like to play the game slowly (merchants would make it to slow:-).

England med/med.

And I didn't have war all the time. I left some factions alone for a while when I conquered others. Peace with them lasted as long as I attacked. Not sure how it works on vh/vh. I just were testing some stuff in London and didn't care about anything else.
