    Default small but new idea

ok, this suggestion is pretty small, but I hope the EB devs can consider this and i welcome any discussions:
I hope to put more emphasis on family background and ethnicity. so maybe every faction (or culture) could get their own culture or faction portraits? ie. a german family member would get a german look as a boy AND when he grows up. this would undoubtly add to the immersion and authenticity of the game and shouldn't be that hard, I think.

I'm pretty this is determined by culture. So all the 'barbarian' factions have to have the same portraits, etc.

I'm not sure, but didn't TA state that it is too much work to do portraits - at least to the quality and sheer quantity of RTW?

I just don't think it's possible. We can't tell one faction to have one set of portraits - the barb factions all have to share the same portrait set. We had a vote for the last culture group and the easterngreek group won. The other option was having a celtic barb vs. a getai/sweboz barb culture, and for a number of different reasons the oldgreek vs. eastgreek split won instead. A big reason was that we could make differences in buildings easier with traditional greek vs. eastern-mix-with-greek building sets for the battlefield. We didn't have the ability to do much difference with celtic barb vs. getai/sweboz barb buildings.
