Yes. The folder with .exe and license agreement is where Vanilla is located. Write down the series of folders below "program files" that take you to . I think I can direct you from here:

    1) Uninstall EB.
    2) Go to the folder that just has "Data" and "EB" folders with nothing else, then delete both those folders. (Be sure you empty your recycle bin as there will be a lot of files.)
    3) Restart the EB 0.80 installer.
    4) When you get to the part in the installation where it shows you the folder where it will go, select "browse" or "choose folder" or whatever button allows you to do so.
    5) Look for the "other" Rome - Total War folder that has files and folders in it. When you get into that folder through this "choose folder" thing, you're at the right place.
    6) Choose "select folder" or "okay" or whatever button allows you to say "this is the folder where RTW Vanilla is located."
    7) Complete the installation.

After you are finished, and before you start your game, go to the Vanilla RTW folder under Program files with the .exe and license agreement. You should now see amongst the folders in the list the "EB" folder. If this is the case, that means EB has installed to the right location. You should be able to use the icon on the desktop to launch the game.

Good luck! Let us know if it works.

This doesn´t work either. Deleted files in the Program-folder prior to installing but after the installation it´s there again. Yet again I have the Data and EB folder in the Program folder and the "real" one in the Program files folder. The shortcut on my desktop still can´t find the program associated with it.
Rightclicking the shortcut it states that the "C:\Program\Activision\Rome - Total War\" path is invalid. The target line says "C:\Program\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:eb -nm -show_err

    Eureka!

The solution was simple. The Eb installer points you to the folder "Programs" NOT "Programs folder" as it should. You might wanna change this to prevent more slugs, like myself, clutter the boards with theese problems. Thanks for your help guys.
Now, I´m gonna try out my long lost Sabaeans.
