Well, it's pretty accurate. But we have no one to blame but ourselves. And the stinking Irish.
Come to mention it though, when was the last time anyone saw one of those articles by the Helios or Eagle Standards or anything else that had a topic of EB? I remember former member Ace Cataphract doing one on EB for HeavenGames about a year and a half ago.
How I discovered EB was I was getting really bored with vanilla, and I was looking at a RTW site when I saw a Mods section. Wondering what a mod was I took a look and decided it might be cool to try one. I read a whole bunch of descriptions to decide which mod I was going to download and the realism mods appealed most to me. Finally it ended up being a contest between EB and RTR, I never actually looked at the mods I just decided EB sounded the best so I took a look at the website and decided to download it. I had some problems with the install because my copy of RTW was newer and came prepatched to 1.5 but with the help of the technical support forum I finally figured it out and I have been addicted ever since.
I started with MTW oh so long ago. I never got into Shogun but was hooked on MTW almost every waking hour I wasnt at school. I was more of a Roman fan and I almost cried when I saw the previews for Rome Total War. Then I played it for a couple days and found RTR. I refused to download EB because it was beta and I saw the list of bugs and no offense but they were horrendous compared to RTR. Also the greek voices and speeches for the family members and spies/diplomats annoyed me. So I religiously played RTR until I was over my cousins house and saw him playing EB. My jaw actually hit the ground. I went home downloaded it and have been hooked ever since. I didnt care about the CTD or the greek voices for Romans any more. This mod is pure ownage.

I think it was some site called Heavengames. Saw some of the previews there, and moved to the .org when I saw EB had dedicated forums with plenty of activity, and excellent other forums to boot. Never looked back.

I think that's the same site where I discovered EB.Originally Posted by Geoffrey S
