Thread: Should Fur be more valuable?

Default Should Fur be more valuable?

Having tested it for every faction, I've found that Fur is almost never worth trading. Nearly every other resource (except wood) is worth trading for at least one faction - at least in certain provinces. I am considering modding this, but I wanted to see what others thought about it. Shouldn't Fur be a more valuable resource?

    No.

MTW needs a bottom of the barrel trading post. fur exists for that, because lets be honest, there are furred animals EVERYWHERE.

    It's neither rare nor scarce!

Fur is the PERFECT cheap trading good.

But the simple fact of the matter is that fur doesn't exist everywhere. Good quality furs only come from areas with cold climates. Fur was an extremely valuable luxury good during the middle ages. Maybe not as much as spices or silks, but furs were certainly valuable.
