Thread: 1.6 Cheats

    Default 1.6 Cheats

Anyone know how to activate the ~ cheat console for the post 1.6 patch? I know that after a certain patch, the developers disabled it, and you have to change something to renable it, but - even after searching google/forums, I can't find what that is. I want to give myself an extra unit in a certain city...I keep getting attacked by 1200 Gualic warbands/swordsmen (including 3 general units) - against my 200~ hastari and single general. I manage to beat off the gumbie units (which go right through my wooden walls) - but I can't manage to demoralize/kill the three family generals, and just get beatdown.

Anyone know how to reactivate it?

    Welcome to the Org lastofthelight

To open the console press the key on your keyboard with these symbols on it: ¬` The ~ key does not open the console in R:TW any more.

    Enjoy your play,
    Avlvs

I'm constantly suprised by stuff I read here... I have latest patches running, BI and Alexander installed, and the ~ key still opens the console for me..... I'm confused, but thats not unusual hehe

I think on international keyboards the ~ key still works. It is just a problem for us poor old Brits.

I imagined it was the keyboard, not the actual trigger. Avlvs, what is the difference between the British keyboards and the International keyboards?

In my work location there are some European keyboards. I haven't really looked at them, but they are slightly different. You also notice the difference if you change your keyboard language to English US. The @ key inserts a ' when you press the shift instead of an @ which is what it does when you press shift on English keyboards. Similar is true for the number keys when shift is pressed.

    Meghas Alexandros @

British Keyboards charge their Cavalry on the Left hand-side of the road,
    International Keyboards on the right!!

Also they prefer the 'T' key before making any unit movements early in the morning!
