I had one a while ago. I loved it, and yeah, I ran programs from it, but it crapped out one day and I haven't been able to pinpoint the problem or remedy it in any way. If you're considering the investment, my advice would be to be extra-specially careful with it. I still get a little depressed when I think about the massive amount of data I lost.
